At STAMI’s outpatient clinic, we assess patients with suspected work-related diseases, such as:
- respiratory diseases
- cancer
- skin diseases
- solvent injuries
- vibration-induced injuries
To schedule an appointment, you need a referral from a doctor, such as an occupational health physician or general practitioner, or from NAV (Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration).
The purpose of such an evaluation is twofold. Firstly, we can assess whether there is a causal relationship between work exposure and the disease. Secondly, we can provide advice on preventive measures for individuals and workplaces to reduce exposure, thereby preventing the worsening of the disease in the individual being assessed and preventing others from getting sick.
